Parties and acceptance
This agreement is between you and PalmDesk, not Apple. By downloading or using PalmDesk you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the app and remove it.
Licence
We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use PalmDesk personally on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, within the Usage Rules of the App Store Terms of Service. You may not rent, sell, redistribute, decompile or reverse-engineer the app.
What is free
While your iPhone or iPad and your Mac are on the same local network, every PalmDesk mode is free without a time limit, with one paired Mac. PalmDesk for Mac is free and requires no separate purchase.
PalmDesk Pro
PalmDesk Pro unlocks remote access over the encrypted internet route (and a relay when needed) while your Mac is on another network, and pairing more than one Mac. Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, and is in use on one iPhone or iPad at a time. Current prices are shown on the purchase screen and in the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- When a free trial is offered, the paid subscription starts unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. One trial per Apple Account.
- Manage or cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your device. After cancelling you keep Pro until the end of the current period; unused periods aren’t refunded.
- If a price changes, Apple notifies you in advance and asks for your consent where required.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests go to Apple, and we can’t grant them directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Acceptable use
Use PalmDesk only on devices you are authorised to access. Using it to watch or control someone else’s Mac without their consent is prohibited. Overloading our signalling and relay infrastructure with automated tools, trying to bypass authentication or reselling the service is also prohibited. We may suspend access if these terms are breached.
Availability
Remote access depends on the signalling and relay servers, your network, and your Mac being on and awake. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted operation; maintenance, network conditions or third-party services may cause temporary outages.
Maintenance, support and warranty
We alone are responsible for maintaining and supporting PalmDesk; Apple has no obligation to do so. To the extent permitted by law the app is provided “as is”. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, has no other warranty obligation.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect damages, loss of data or loss of profit. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for PalmDesk in the twelve months before the claim arose. Your rights under consumer law are unaffected.
Product claims and intellectual property
We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims relating to the app or its use, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection and privacy claims. We are also responsible for the investigation, defence and settlement of any claim that the app infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights.
Legal compliance
By using PalmDesk you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo and are not on any US government list of prohibited parties. You must also comply with the terms of any third-party services you use.
Apple as third-party beneficiary
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement. Once you accept these terms, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Termination
You can end this agreement at any time by removing the app. We may terminate your access if you breach these terms. If we decide to discontinue the service, we will give active subscribers reasonable notice and offer an appropriate remedy through Apple for periods in progress.
Privacy
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes, governing law and contact
If these terms change, the date on this page changes and important changes are announced in the app. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction, without prejudice to consumers’ right to apply to the consumer arbitration committees and courts where they live.
